Nomera Capital is an independent investment intelligence firm based in Portugal. We focus on analysing investment vehicles, fund structures, and capital allocation decisions in markets where complexity and information asymmetry are common.
We work primarily with internationally mobile and retail investors who are accessing private equity, venture capital, and regulated collective investment funds — products historically designed for institutional allocators with dedicated due diligence teams.
Institutional investors commit capital after prolonged evaluation of managers, structures, incentives, governance, and downside scenarios. Individual investors rarely have access to comparable internal infrastructure.

Cristóvão Matos is Managing Director at Nomera Capital, where he leads independent investment intelligence focused on Portuguese investment funds and capital allocation across private and public markets.
He holds a degree in Physics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and has completed executive education in banking and insurance, as well as a Certificate in Private Equity from Imperial College London. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Risk Management and Data Science for Finance at Nova IMS, with a focus on systematic approaches to portfolio construction, uncertainty, and structural risk.
His professional interests include investment structure analysis, quantitative methods in finance, and the application of technology — including AI and digital asset infrastructure — to improve analytical frameworks in capital markets.
